2024 Park Ticket Terms & Conditions

All park and event tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable, unless otherwise clearly stated.

At the point of purchase, the purchaser will choose a tariff according to the day(s) they intend to visit. E-tickets can only be used during the specified period. An additional surcharge will be applied upon admission for any tickets being redeemed during a higher-tariff period.

Advanced tickets are only available to purchase online and can be purchased at any time ahead of visiting the park. These tickets are valid for entry on the same day as they were purchased.

Park tickets are restricted to be redeemed only on the date(s) selected during the purchasing process. Where visiting dates change, surcharges will be applied to any tickets being redeemed outside of the suggested visiting date, where required, based on the above T&Cs.

Standard park tickets are not valid for any special events which fall outside of the normal park offering. (E.g. Sunset Sessions, or events where Vectis Ventures is not the promoter.)

An adult must accompany persons under 14 years of age during entry to the park. Special events may have individual age restrictions. Please check event-specific T&Cs for more details.

Access / Nimbus Free carer tickets and Season Passes are issued based on a guests Access Card requirements. Access Cards are obtained via Nimbus: The Disability Consultancy Service. For more information, please visit: https://www.accesscard.online/

7-Day Returns

Park entry tickets entitle you to a minimum of one visit only. Return visits are offered with our compliments for up to 7 days (up to and including the 7th day) from the date of first entry, subject to standard entry terms & conditions. Some special event tickets do not include 7-day returns as standard. 

When purchasing your park ticket online, you will receive an email confirmation with a unique QR code. This will be your proof for entry to the park, as well as your 7-day returns. 

If you have purchased your park tickets with our front of house team, you will be given a receipt with a QR code for your 7-day re-entry. Entry without your unique QR code will not be accepted. 

Proof of name and signature (eg, bank card/driving licence) may be required to verify your identity. If adequate proof is not obtained, or deemed unsatisfactory, return admittance to the park may be denied. This is at the discretion of our park management team. 

Alternative days, discounts or refunds will not be permitted as a result of the full 7-day period not being redeemable due to park closure.


2024 Park Entry Terms & Conditions

Please supply e-tickets (if you have pre-purchased one) at the point of admission. 

An adult must accompany persons under 14 years of age during entry to the park. This age is lifted to 16 years for evening openings from 6pm. Special events may have individual age restrictions. Please check event-specific T&Cs for more details.

Height and age restrictions apply to rides. Blackgang Chine’s minimum height restrictions: Extinction 1.2m, Waterforce 1m accompanied or 1.2 for lone riders, Shipwrecked 1m, Evolution 1m, Pirate Barrels 90cm, Jolly Robin 1.1m and Snakes & Ladders 1.1m. 

Ride times may vary.  Rides may be scheduled to close for break periods during the afternoon/evening as required, and may operate on an alternating basis when demand is low. Please ask a member of the team for full detailed, daily information. Last rides are 30minutes before park closing time

Some attractions are closed during wet/windy conditions. In the interest of ensuring the safety of both our staff and guests, certain rides or attractions may close in poor weather conditions. Please see the notices provided in-park or ask a member of the team for detailed, daily information.

Programmed entertainment at the park may be postponed or cancelled. All events or entertainment may be cancelled, postponed, or amended at short notice. The park reserve the right to amend these details as they see fit, at any time, for any reason. This may be as a result of unfavourable conditions or due to unforeseen circumstances beyond the parks’ control.

Last entry to either park is 1 hour before closing time. The park reserve the right to close earlier than the advertised opening time as a result of poor weather, if there are no customers present at the time. Please call ahead in wet weather.

The park reserve the right to close rides and attractions for essential maintenance and refurbishment at short notice, as they see fit, at any time. The park teams will endeavour to communicate closure notices with customers as quickly as possible, and re-open the rides as soon as it is safe to do so.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome in our park, provided they are always kept on a lead and owners clean up after them. Some areas are not suitable for dogs (i.e. cafes, and playgrounds where young children play). Owner discretion is appreciated.

Management reserve the right to refuse admission or remove visitors from the premises if circumstances dictate.

Parking in the parks’ public car park is at your own risk. The park’s management will not accept responsibility for any loss, damage or accidents.

Evening Openings

Peripheral park areas and attractions will normally be closed during evening opening, unless otherwise clearly stated. This will normally include ride attractions and slides. When dark, please keep to the lit areas of the park for your safety. Please see event-specific terms & conditions for full details.

Warm clothing and sturdy footwear are advisable when visiting during the evening.

Please do not touch or move any of the light or display fittings during your visit.

On occasion, special entertainment may be cancelled or postponed due to poor weather conditions or other circumstances outside of our control.

Installations and entertainments may employ special effects such as strobe lighting and smoke machines. Please beware if you suffer from conditions such as photosensitive epilepsy. Please contact us ahead of your visit if you have any concerns.

Bad Weather. Should the weather conditions exceed the limitations of our risk assessment during opening hours, the park will be evacuated for the safety of all guests and staff. In the event of an evacuation relating to weather, no refunds will be issued, however guests will be able to continue to use their 7 day free return to enjoy the park.

2024 Season Pass Terms & Conditions

Season Passes are valid from 23/03/2024 – 01/11/2024

Season Passes are strictly non-transferable and non-refundable.

When purchasing your pass, you will need to supply, or have taken, an up-to-date passport-style photograph. If the photograph isn’t of a suitable likeness or not clear enough, we reserve the right to refuse entry.

Once you have purchased your Season Pass, you will receive an email with your digital Season Pass ticket enclosed. This ticket should be saved to your device and shown upon entry each time you visit the park. Alternatively, you can save you digital Season Pass to the tickets section of our Blackgang Chine app or ticketing website (using web browser).

Please remember to complete the account registration option whilst purchasing, or after purchase to access tickets linked with your email address.

Once you have registered your account you will be able to book future park visits, access special discounts and incentives as they are launched.

Physical Season Passes are no longer issued/needed for access to the park during the season. 

Entry to special events or exclusive entertainment may be included free of charge within a Season Pass. Please refer to event-specific T&Cs for more details. Details of events and any special entertainment within the 2024 season will be released and communicated to all Season Pass holders as soon as possible.

Some discounts are offered on Season Pass purchases within the park unless specified on your personal account.

Children under 1m are entitled to hold a free Season Pass until they reach 1m; at which point a paid pass or valid admission ticket will be required to access the park. Anyone under 1 metre in height must register for a free pass. When reaching 1 metre, those free pass holders will be charged a pro-rata rate for the time as which they meet the threshold. If you do not have a free pass at time of reaching 1 metre, you will be charged full price.

Vectis Ventures (Blackgang Chine) is entitled to use Season Pass holder’s details to contact them about service information, including, but not being limited to, information about changes to these Terms and Conditions, details on using the Season Pass and expiry and/or renewal reminders. Vectis Ventures will not use these details for marketing purposes unless the holder has opted in to receive such information at the time of purchasing.

The Park Manager, MD, or their agents, may refuse admission or revoke Season Passes at any time on the grounds of public safety or if other exceptional circumstances permit. Attempting to use a Season Pass that is not your own will result in the cancellation of the pass without refund.

Access to the park is provided in accordance with our standard terms and conditions of entry.

The park reserve the right, in their absolute discretion, to vary the opening and closing dates of the park, remove or cancel all or any part of the rides, events, attractions or facilities for any reason. The full value or any part of the value of the Season Pass will not be refunded, nor will any compensation be payable if any of the rides or attractions become unavailable or if any part of the park, rides and attractions are closed or removed.
