It’s Official: We’re Casting the Blackgang Buddies for 2026!

What Is a Blackgang Buddy?

The Blackgang Buddies is our brand-new voluntary ambassador programme designed to celebrate genuine young fans of the park.

We’re “casting” Isle of Wight children who:

✔ Are aged 6+
✔ Live locally (or can attend frequently)
✔ Truly love Blackgang Chine
✔ Are confident, engaging and comfortable on camera
✔ Have loads of personality

No acting experience needed.
No social media expertise required from parents.
No polished performances expected.

We want real children. Real excitement. Real love for the park.

What Will They Be Doing?

Our selected Buddies will feature in fun, high-energy mini video series across our social channels in 2026, including:

• Ride comparisons

• Food challenges

• Battle of the Lands

• Event previews

• Behind-the-scenes content

• And plenty of surprises
   

This is about creating brilliant, child-led content that shows the magic of Blackgang Chine through the eyes of our biggest fans.

How to Apply

Applying is simple.

Parents or guardians need to submit:

A 1-minute video of your child telling us:

• Why they love Blackgang Chine

• Their favourite ride or land

• Why they would make an amazing Blackgang Buddy

We’re looking for enthusiasm, confidence and authenticity — not perfection.

What Do Selected Buddies Receive?

Each chosen Blackgang Buddy will receive:

• A Family Season Pass for up to 4 people for 2026

• Regular opportunities to appear in Blackgang Chine content

• Exclusive participation in filming days

• A goodie bag of exclusive Blackgang Buddies merch

• The chance to represent one of the Isle of Wight’s most iconic attractions

This is a voluntary ambassador opportunity — but it’s a huge chance to be part of something special.

Now, for the first time, we’re inviting local children to help tell that story.
